Role Overview:
As a Data Engineering Intern, you will work closely with our data and engineering teams to assist in the development, implementation, and optimization of data infrastructure and processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and infrastructure to support engineering projects.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and other team members to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and optimally organized.
- Participate in the process of cleaning, transforming, and organizing large datasets for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Support the implementation of data quality checks and validation procedures to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data.
- Help develop and optimize SQL queries, data models, and ETL processes to improve data processing efficiency.
- Assist in the integration of data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and third-party systems, into the company's data infrastructure.
- Provide support in creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to help stakeholders make informed decisions.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in data engineering and contribute to the continuous improvement of data processes.
- Participate in team meetings, project planning sessions, and training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in data engineering.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and database management.
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, and data engineering tools such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work on complex data-related challenges.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a professional setting.
- Previous internship or project experience in data engineering, data science, or software development is a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is highly desirable.
