Role Overview:
As a Claims Examiner, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing insurance claims to ensure they are handled accurately and in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. You will work closely with claims adjusters, policyholders, and other stakeholders to evaluate claims, make determinations, and recommend settlements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine and process insurance claims by reviewing documentation, conducting investigations, and applying policy coverage.
- Analyze and evaluate the legitimacy of claims, ensuring all relevant information is considered and verified.
- Determine claim eligibility and make recommendations for payment, denial, or further investigation based on policy terms and conditions.
- Communicate with claimants, adjusters, and other involved parties to gather additional information or clarify details as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements throughout the claims process.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support claim determinations and provide insights to management.
- Collaborate with underwriters, legal teams, and other departments to resolve complex claims and address any issues that arise.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in claims examination and insurance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Claims Examiner, Claims Adjuster, or in a similar role within the insurance or financial services industries.
- Strong understanding of insurance policies, claims processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex information and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in using claims management systems and standard office software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, though relevant experience will also be considered.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple claims and deadlines simultaneously.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is highly desirable.
