Position Overview:
As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) at BXT Logistics Inc., you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on a variety of aircraft. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aircraft in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose aircraft systems, components, and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary corrective actions.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are documented accurately and completed within specified timeframes.
- Maintain compliance with Transport Canada regulations and company policies to ensure the safety and airworthiness of aircraft.
- Coordinate with other team members, including pilots, ground crew, and maintenance staff, to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the maintenance hangar.
- Keep up-to-date with technical manuals, service bulletins, and other industry standards to ensure high-quality maintenance practices.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain certifications and stay current with industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with management and report any issues or concerns that may affect safety or operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license, Category M or E.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an AME, preferably with experience in maintaining cargo or commercial aircraft.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
- Proficiency with maintenance software and tools.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
