Position Overview:
Best Moving and Storage is seeking a dynamic and organized Volunteer Services Manager to oversee and coordinate our volunteer program. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers, ensuring that they are effectively integrated into our operations and contribute meaningfully to our mission. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to recruit, retain, and recognize volunteers.
• Coordinate volunteer activities and assignments, ensuring they align with the company’s goals and needs.
• Provide training and orientation for new volunteers, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of volunteers, providing feedback and support as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours, contributions, and activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify volunteer opportunities and ensure seamless integration.
• Organize and lead volunteer appreciation events and initiatives.
• Stay informed about best practices in volunteer management and implement them within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, social work, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in volunteer management or a similar role.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Passion for community service and volunteerism.
