Position Overview:
Good Movers is seeking a reliable and physically fit Mover/Driver to join our team in Winnipeg, MB. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting and moving clients’ belongings safely and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, has a strong work ethic, and possesses excellent driving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload furniture, boxes, and other items onto and off moving trucks.
- Transport belongings to and from clients’ homes, businesses, and storage facilities.
- Drive moving trucks to various locations in and around Winnipeg, ensuring timely delivery.
- Protect and secure items during transit to prevent damage.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the moving truck.
- Assist with packing and unpacking items as needed.
- Follow company policies and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a mover or driver, preferably in the moving industry.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) throughout the workday.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Winnipeg and surrounding areas is an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
