We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced School Bus Driver & Trainer to join our team and help ensure the safety and success of our driving programs.
Job Description: As a School Bus Driver & Trainer at Queen Way Driving School, you will be responsible for safely transporting students and training new drivers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in driving and training, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a school bus safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport students to and from school, field trips, and other designated locations.
- Provide training to new drivers on school bus operation, safety procedures, and best practices.
- Develop and deliver training materials and lesson plans tailored to the needs of new drivers.
- Assess the performance of trainee drivers and provide constructive feedback to improve their skills.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized bus, performing routine inspections and addressing any maintenance issues.
- Ensure a positive and safe environment for students during transportation.
- Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Requirements:
- Valid Class B (or equivalent) commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a school bus driver or in a similar role.
- Experience in training or instructing drivers is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and school bus operation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Patience, professionalism, and a commitment to safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
