Job Description: As a Bus Operator at Great Class Driving School, you will be responsible for safely operating a bus, transporting students and passengers to their destinations in a timely and secure manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of safe driving, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to maintaining a positive and safe environment for all passengers.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport students and passengers to and from designated locations according to scheduled routes.
- Ensure the bus is in good working condition by performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including those with special needs.
- Maintain accurate records of routes, stops, and any incidents that occur.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns from passengers in a professional manner.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure the bus environment is clean and safe for passengers.
Requirements:
- Valid Class B (or equivalent) commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a bus driver or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle various driving conditions and adapt to changing schedules.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
