Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Back-End Developer to join our team in Quebec. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side components of our applications. You will play a key role in ensuring that our systems are efficient, secure, and capable of scaling to meet growing demand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain server-side logic, databases, and APIs that support front-end functionality.
- Collaborate closely with front-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
- Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of applications through effective coding practices and optimization.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices in software development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in the development environment.
- Implement and enforce security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to maintain high coding standards.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance our technology stack.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of new features and improvements.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in back-end development with a strong focus on server-side technologies.
- Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, or Node.js.
- Experience with database management systems (SQL and NoSQL).
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud deployments.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD and version control (Git).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Bilingual (English and French) is a plus.
