Position Overview:
Dexap is seeking a highly skilled Back-End Developer to join our team in Quebec. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in server-side development and a deep understanding of software architecture. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining the back-end components of our applications, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and secure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement server-side logic, database architecture, and APIs to support front-end features.
- Optimize application performance and ensure scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to deliver seamless, integrated solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that follows industry best practices.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across the development environment, providing timely fixes.
- Implement and maintain security best practices to protect data and applications.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and helping to maintain coding standards.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
- Assist in the planning and execution of new features and system improvements.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in back-end development, with a strong focus on server-side technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, or Node.js.
- Experience with database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-based deployment.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bilingual (English and French) is an asset.
