Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Deputy Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Infrastructure to join our executive team in Quebec. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure management and leadership. In this role, you will work closely with the CTO to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our infrastructure, ensuring that it supports our growth and aligns with our strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, development, and management of the company’s IT infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the CTO to develop and implement technology strategies that support business goals.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of all IT systems and infrastructure.
- Oversee the performance and availability of networks, servers, and data centers.
- Manage the IT infrastructure team, providing leadership, mentoring, and professional development.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve efficiency, performance, and security.
- Develop and manage the infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Establish and enforce best practices for IT operations, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their infrastructure needs and provide solutions.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain competitive advantage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, server management, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
- Proven experience in leading and managing IT teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Bilingual (English and French) is highly desirable.
