Job Description:
Ghiophyter is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems for a variety of applications. This is a full-time position based in Toronto, Ontario, with opportunities for career advancement in a dynamic and growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, and HVAC units.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in refrigeration equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to monitor and optimize system performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all service and repair work performed.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Provide on-site training and guidance to junior technicians and apprentices.
Qualifications:
- Certificate or diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in refrigeration system installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and control systems.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and HVAC software.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic (313A) license.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
