Job Description:
Delevate Farms is seeking a skilled and experienced Agriculture Equipment Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of a variety of agricultural equipment, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely. This is a full-time position based in Toronto, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair agricultural equipment, including tractors, harvesters, and other farm machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment is in optimal condition.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, implementing effective solutions.
- Operate diagnostic tools and software to assess equipment performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Collaborate with the farm management team to prioritize equipment needs and schedules.
- Provide training and guidance to farm staff on the proper use and care of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Certificate or diploma in Agricultural Equipment Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in repairing and maintaining agricultural equipment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate various types of agricultural machinery.
