Position Overview: The Technician Operator will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment and systems within our gas distribution network. This role is critical to ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of natural gas to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor natural gas distribution equipment and systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Record and analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize system efficiency and reliability.
- Respond to emergency situations and participate in on-call rotations as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Technician Operator or in a similar role within the natural gas or energy sector.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of gas distribution systems and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant technical certifications or training (e.g., Gas Technician, Instrumentation).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
