Job Description: As the Supervisor of Environmental Services at Urban Tree Flooring, you will oversee and manage environmental programs and initiatives within our company. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, implementing sustainability practices, and leading a team dedicated to maintaining our commitment to environmental excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate environmental services operations, including waste management, recycling, and sustainability programs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead and support a team of environmental staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate environmental practices into daily operations and projects.
- Prepare and submit reports on environmental performance, regulatory compliance, and sustainability efforts to senior management.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to environmental services and sustainability.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, vendors, and community organizations.
- Identify and implement cost-effective solutions to reduce environmental impact and improve sustainability performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in environmental services, sustainability, or a related role, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using environmental management software and tools.
