Job Description: As an Apparel Clerk at The Plumbing & Heating Ltd, you will be responsible for managing the apparel section of our store. You will assist customers with their clothing needs, handle merchandise, and ensure that our apparel department is well-organized and stocked.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide assistance with their apparel purchases, including helping with sizes, styles, and product recommendations.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the apparel department, including arranging displays and ensuring products are properly tagged and priced.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling cash, credit, and debit payments.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and restocking to ensure availability of popular items.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Assist with merchandising and promotional displays to attract customers and boost sales.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and contribute to achieving sales targets.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to customer service, inventory management, and store safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of apparel and fashion trends is a plus.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and handling transactions.
