Job Description: As a Seafood/Meat Clerk at Cheaten Heating Solutions Inc., you will be responsible for the handling, preparation, and presentation of seafood and meat products. You will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation, packaging, and display of seafood and meat products, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
- Learn proper techniques for handling, cutting, and storing seafood and meat under the guidance of experienced staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the seafood and meat departments, following all health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service, helping customers with their selections and offering advice on cooking and preparation.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and restocking products to ensure availability.
- Assist with labeling, pricing, and rotating products to maintain freshness and accuracy.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the seafood and meat departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a seafood or meat handling role is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable attitude.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced staff.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices is an advantage.
