Job Description: As an Inventory Coordinator at DU, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our inventory processes. You will work closely with our store and supply chain teams to maintain accurate stock levels, handle inventory-related issues, and ensure that our product availability meets customer demand. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing overstock and stockouts.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to place orders, track shipments, and resolve any delivery issues.
  • Update and maintain accurate inventory records in our inventory management system.
  • Coordinate with store staff to facilitate efficient stock replenishment and organization.
  • Analyze inventory data and generate reports to assist in forecasting and decision-making.
  • Implement inventory control procedures and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Handle the receiving and inspection of new merchandise, ensuring proper documentation and storage.
  • Address and resolve any inventory-related concerns or discrepancies promptly.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in inventory management or a similar role, preferably in retail.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and vendors.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to inventory challenges.
