Position Overview: We are seeking a certified and experienced Gas Technician to install, maintain, and repair gas systems and appliances. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gas system servicing, a thorough understanding of safety regulations, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, and repair gas systems, including furnaces, water heaters, and other gas appliances.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on gas systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot gas system issues, providing effective solutions and repairs.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and specifications related to gas systems.
- Ensure that all installations and repairs meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and repair logs.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain service details, provide recommendations, and address any concerns.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and changes in regulations.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Gas Technician with relevant trade qualifications.
- Proven experience in gas system installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong knowledge of gas system components, safety standards, and building codes.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for gas systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
