Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Collections/Credit Analyst to manage our credit and collections processes effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience in credit analysis, collections, and financial risk management. You will be responsible for evaluating creditworthiness, managing collections activities, and ensuring timely payments while maintaining positive client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate credit applications and determine credit limits based on financial analysis and risk assessment.
- Monitor accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts for collection.
- Initiate and manage collection efforts, including contacting clients via phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce overdue accounts and minimize bad debt.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements with clients, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Prepare and review reports on accounts receivable, collections activities, and credit risk.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate recording of payments and adjustments.
- Provide recommendations for improving credit policies and collection procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of all collections activities and communications.
- Address client inquiries and resolve any issues related to credit and collections.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in credit analysis, collections, or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of credit risk management and collections processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
