Job Description:
We are looking for a meticulous and organized Receiver to oversee the receipt, inspection, and management of inventory at Saunt Sarah's Chocolate Shop. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately recorded and stored, and that our inventory levels are maintained efficiently. This is an important role that supports our commitment to product quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of chocolate and other supplies
- Check products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with order specifications
- Record and track inventory levels, updating inventory management systems as needed
- Organize and store products in designated areas, ensuring proper handling and storage conditions
- Coordinate with suppliers and resolve any discrepancies or issues with shipments
- Assist in inventory audits and maintain accurate records of stock levels
- Manage returns and exchanges of products as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized storage area and adhere to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving or inventory management role is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle and inspect products with care
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems and basic computer applications
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with suppliers and team members
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy items and perform tasks that require standing for extended periods
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
