Position Overview: We are seeking a caring and reliable Home Care Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to clients, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
- Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and comfort of clients at all times.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, accommodating dietary needs and preferences.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Assist with household tasks, including light housekeeping, laundry, and organizing living spaces.
- Administer medication as directed and monitor the health and well-being of clients.
- Accompany clients to appointments, social outings, and errands as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals, providing regular updates on the client’s condition.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client’s condition to the care coordinator.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a caregiving or home care role is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful of clients’ needs and preferences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and assisting clients with mobility.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver’s license is an asset but not required.
