Position Overview: We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Live-In Caregiver to join our family. The successful candidate will provide personalized care and assistance to a family member with disabilities, helping them lead a fulfilling and comfortable life. This is a live-in position, with room and board provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Support with mobility and physical activities, ensuring the individual’s safety and comfort at all times.
- Administer medication and follow care plans as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, accommodating dietary needs and preferences.
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities that enhance the individual’s quality of life.
- Assist with household tasks, including light housekeeping, laundry, and organizing living spaces.
- Accompany the individual to appointments, social outings, and other activities as needed.
- Monitor and report any changes in the individual’s health or well-being to family members and healthcare providers.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a caregiver or in a similar role, preferably with persons with disabilities.
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and assisting with mobility.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in providing care.
- Valid driver’s license is an asset but not required.
