Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Childcare Educator – Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the development and well-being of children in our care, working closely with our lead educators and families to create a warm and engaging atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development.
- Provide individualized support to children with diverse needs, ensuring all children are included and can participate fully in activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment, encouraging children’s curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Collaborate with lead educators and parents to monitor and document children’s progress and development.
- Support daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and personal hygiene, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field.
- Experience working with children in a childcare setting, with a focus on supporting children with diverse needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to pass a criminal record check.
