Role Overview:
As a Babysitter, you will be responsible for providing attentive care to our children, including engaging them in activities, preparing meals, and ensuring their safety at all times. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and is committed to creating a positive and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and responsible care for children, including supervision during playtime, meals, and bedtime routines.
- Plan and participate in fun, educational, and age-appropriate activities that promote the children’s development.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to the children’s dietary needs and preferences.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, including during outdoor activities and outings.
- Assist with homework, reading, and other educational tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including tidying up after activities and ensuring toys and supplies are put away.
- Communicate regularly with parents about the children’s activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Follow and reinforce the family’s rules and routines to maintain consistency for the children.
- Respond calmly and effectively in case of emergencies or unexpected situations.
- Provide occasional evening or weekend care, depending on the family’s needs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Babysitter, nanny, or in a similar childcare role is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it.
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with both children and parents.
- Patience, reliability, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to plan and organize activities that are engaging, educational, and enjoyable for the children.
- Flexibility to adapt to the family’s schedule and needs.
- A valid driver’s license is an asset, but not required.
- References from previous childcare positions will be required.
