Role Overview:
As a Developer, Network Operations Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing network operations solutions to ensure efficient and reliable network performance. You will work closely with network engineers and other technical teams to create and implement tools and processes that enhance network operations and support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop network operations tools and solutions to improve the performance, reliability, and efficiency of network systems.
- Implement and maintain network monitoring and management systems to proactively identify and resolve network issues.
- Collaborate with network engineers to develop and integrate automation scripts and processes for network configuration and management.
- Analyze network performance data and develop optimization strategies to enhance system performance and reduce downtime.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for network operations issues.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network operations engineering.
- Participate in project planning and management activities, ensuring timely delivery of network operations solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in network operations, network engineering, or a related role.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Bash for developing automation scripts and tools.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and network management systems.
- Experience with network monitoring and performance management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with network security principles and practices is a plus.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies is an asset.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is a plus.
