Role Overview:
As a Benefits Adviser, you will be responsible for guiding clients through the process of selecting and managing their insurance and financial benefits. You will work closely with clients to assess their needs, explain available options, and provide expert advice to ensure they choose the best solutions for their circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with clients to assess their insurance and financial benefits needs, understanding their individual or organizational goals.
  • Explain and compare different benefits plans, including health, life, disability, and retirement options, to help clients make informed decisions.
  • Provide personalized advice and recommendations based on clients’ unique situations and financial goals.
  • Assist clients in enrolling in benefits plans, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time.
  • Monitor and review clients’ benefits plans regularly to ensure they continue to meet their needs and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Stay informed about changes in insurance regulations, industry trends, and new benefits products to provide the most up-to-date advice to clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and addressing any questions or concerns they may have about their benefits.
  • Collaborate with underwriters, claims teams, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Benefits Adviser, Insurance Agent, or in a similar role within the insurance or financial services industries.
  • Strong knowledge of benefits plans, including health, life, disability, and retirement options.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and understandable way.
  • Proficiency in using insurance and financial planning software, as well as standard office applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple clients and tasks simultaneously.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is highly desirable.
