Role Overview:
As a Claims Assistant, you will provide essential support to our claims department, helping to streamline the claims process from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include managing documentation, coordinating with clients and other parties, and assisting in various administrative tasks to ensure claims are processed promptly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and processing of insurance claims by collecting, organizing, and verifying required documentation.
- Communicate with clients, claimants, and other stakeholders to gather information, answer inquiries, and provide updates on claim status.
- Enter and maintain accurate claim information in the company’s claims management system.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate communications between claims adjusters, inspectors, and other involved parties.
- Review claim documents for completeness and accuracy, following up on missing or incomplete information as needed.
- Prepare and send correspondence, including letters, emails, and reports, related to the claims process.
- Provide general administrative support to the claims department, including filing, data entry, and document management.
- Assist with special projects and tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the claims department.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an administrative or support role, preferably within the insurance or financial services industries.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused approach.
- Proficiency in using office software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A high level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- A diploma or certification in business administration, insurance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
