THE SATOON is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Post Office Assistant to join our team in Ontario, Canada. As a Post Office Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient postal services and exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with mail-related inquiries, sales, and transactions.
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Manage postal supplies and inventory, including stocking shelves and organizing supplies.
- Process payments, handle cash, and maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Assist with the preparation of mail for delivery, including weighing and labeling packages.
- Perform routine clerical duties, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining records.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, or a postal environment is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with office equipment.
- Ability to lift and handle packages and parcels of varying sizes.
