Position Overview:
White Cat Moving Transport Ltd. is seeking an experienced and skilled Rigger/Mover to join our team in Winnipeg, MB. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe handling, rigging, and transportation of heavy machinery and oversized loads. This role requires a strong understanding of rigging techniques, safety protocols, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely rig and move heavy machinery, equipment, and oversized loads using appropriate rigging tools and techniques.
- Plan and execute complex rigging operations, ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
- Operate and maintain rigging equipment, including cranes, hoists, and lifting gear.
- Secure loads for transport, ensuring stability and safety during transit.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Conduct site assessments to determine the best rigging methods and equipment needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of rigging activities and equipment usage.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a rigger or in a similar role, preferably in the moving or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety regulations.
- Ability to operate rigging equipment, including cranes and hoists.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy items.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Certification in rigging or heavy equipment operation is an asset.
