Position Overview:
Kolitet Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and organized Recreation Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of recreational activities and events. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about community engagement and enjoys working in a dynamic, people-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and organizing recreational programs and events.
- Set up and take down equipment and supplies for activities.
- Greet and assist participants, ensuring they have a positive experience.
- Provide support during programs, including leading activities and monitoring participants.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all activities.
- Assist in promoting programs and events to increase community participation.
- Monitor and report on participant feedback and program success.
- Support administrative tasks related to program registration and scheduling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in Recreation, Kinesiology, or a related field is an asset.
- Previous experience in a recreational or community setting is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- CPR and First Aid certification is required.
- A positive attitude and a genuine interest in helping others.
