Job Description:
Perfect Technology Services is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced GIS Analyst to manage and analyze spatial data for various projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining GIS databases, creating detailed maps, and providing insights through spatial analysis. This full-time position is based in Manitoba, offering a rewarding opportunity to work on diverse and impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and manage GIS databases and spatial data for various projects and applications.
• Perform spatial analysis and produce detailed maps to support decision-making and project planning.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements and deliver tailored GIS solutions.
• Conduct data quality assessments and ensure accuracy and consistency of spatial data.
• Create and update GIS models, layers, and maps using GIS software and tools.
• Integrate GIS data with other data sources and systems for comprehensive analysis.
• Provide technical support and training to users of GIS systems and applications.
• Stay current with GIS technology trends and advancements, recommending improvements and updates.
• Prepare and present reports and visualizations to communicate findings and insights effectively.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in GIS analysis and management.
• Proficiency in GIS software and tools, such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of spatial analysis, cartography, and database management.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or SQL for GIS applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and clients.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
