Job Description:
Samm Farm Worker is seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to fill the role of Mushroom Farm Worker. The successful candidates will be involved in various aspects of mushroom cultivation, including harvesting, sorting, and packaging. This is a full-time position based in British Columbia, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Harvest mushrooms carefully to ensure quality and minimize damage.
• Sort and grade mushrooms according to size, quality, and type.
• Package mushrooms for distribution, following company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the growing and packing areas.
• Monitor the growing environment and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of mushroom growing beds.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets.
• Perform other farm-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• No formal education is required; previous experience in mushroom farming or agriculture is an asset.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in a humid environment.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends, especially during peak production periods.
