Position Overview: The EyeCare Advisor will be responsible for guiding patients through their eye care journey, from selecting the right eyewear to understanding their treatment options. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for helping people, and an interest in the eye care industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients with their eyewear selection, ensuring they find the best frames and lenses for their needs.
- Provide detailed information about lens options, coatings, and eyewear materials.
- Help patients understand their vision insurance benefits and assist with processing claims.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and handle administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with optometrists to ensure a smooth patient experience from eye exams to eyewear fitting.
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance.
- Maintain a well-organized and attractive sales floor, including product displays and inventory.
- Stay informed about the latest trends in eyewear fashion and advancements in optical technology.
- Address patient questions, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and care.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the optical or healthcare industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach.
- Basic understanding of eyewear products and the ability to learn about lens options and treatments.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and point-of-sale software.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient records and transactions.
- A friendly, approachable demeanor with a passion for helping others.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
