Position Overview: The Sales Associate will play a key role in assisting customers with their eyewear selections, providing knowledgeable advice on lenses and frames, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for helping people, and an interest in fashion and eye care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist them in selecting the perfect lenses and frames to suit their needs and style.
- Provide detailed information on various lens options, coatings, and frame materials.
- Perform accurate measurements to ensure a proper fit for lenses and frames.
- Process sales transactions using the point-of-sale system and handle cash and credit card payments.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor, including product displays and inventory management.
- Stay informed about the latest trends in eyewear fashion and new product offerings.
- Assist with the ordering and stocking of lenses, frames, and accessories.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, resolving issues, and making product recommendations.
- Collaborate with the optometrist and other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail or sales, particularly in eyewear or fashion, is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Interest in eyewear fashion and a desire to stay updated on industry trends.
- Attention to detail and the ability to perform accurate measurements and fitting.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A friendly and approachable demeanor with a passion for helping customers.
