Position Overview: The Wellhead Maintenance Assistant will support the maintenance and repair of wellhead systems and associated equipment. This role requires a solid understanding of wellhead operations, mechanical skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. The successful candidate will work closely with maintenance teams to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of wellhead systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance, inspection, and repair of wellhead systems and equipment.
- Support the installation and removal of wellhead components and related systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment.
- Monitor wellhead performance and identify any issues or potential problems.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with the documentation of maintenance activities and equipment status.
- Collaborate with team members and provide support during maintenance and repair operations.
- Participate in safety training and contribute to safety drills and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in wellhead maintenance or a similar role within the oil and gas industry is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of wellhead systems and equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and handling heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to following safety procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications or training in wellhead maintenance are an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
