Position Overview: The Pipeline Integrity Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and safety of our pipeline systems. This role involves assessing pipeline conditions, identifying potential risks, and implementing strategies to prevent failures and extend the life of our assets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pipeline integrity management, a strong technical background, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pipeline integrity assessments, including inspections, monitoring, and data analysis.
  • Develop and implement integrity management plans and strategies to ensure the safety and reliability of pipeline systems.
  • Identify and assess potential risks, including corrosion, mechanical damage, and environmental factors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address integrity issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on pipeline conditions, inspection results, and integrity plans.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to project teams, including recommendations for pipeline repairs, upgrades, and replacements.
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses related to pipeline integrity issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in pipeline integrity management, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of pipeline inspection techniques, corrosion control methods, and risk assessment tools.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for integrity management and data analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various sites as needed.
