Position Overview: The Field Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the terminal's facilities, including the monitoring and maintenance of equipment and systems. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth flow of operations and the safe handling of petroleum products. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor terminal equipment, including pumps, valves, and pipelines.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor and control product flow within the terminal and to external locations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime.
- Record and report operational data accurately and promptly.
- Participate in safety drills, training, and emergency response activities.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Field Operator or in a similar role within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of terminal operations, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and make quick, sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid safety certifications and training (e.g., H2S Alive, WHMIS, First Aid).
- Physically fit and able to work in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
