Job Description: As a Grocery Clerk at Long Local Manitoba, you will be responsible for ensuring that our store is well-stocked, organized, and inviting for customers. You will assist with inventory management, product placement, and provide outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock shelves with fresh, high-quality products, ensuring that items are properly labeled and displayed.
- Assist customers with finding products, answering questions, and providing recommendations.
- Monitor product freshness and rotate stock to minimize waste.
- Assist with inventory management, including tracking stock levels and placing orders as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grocery aisles and storage areas.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a friendly and professional manner.
- Operate basic equipment, such as pricing machines and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the store runs smoothly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is a plus but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive and helpful attitude.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Basic math skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
