Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and reliable Duct Installer to handle the installation and maintenance of ductwork systems for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in duct installation, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, modify, and repair ductwork systems according to specifications and building codes.
- Measure and cut duct materials to precise dimensions and assemble duct components.
- Ensure proper alignment, sealing, and insulation of ductwork to optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with HVAC technicians to ensure the correct installation of duct systems and integration with other system components.
- Inspect and test installed ductwork for leaks, proper airflow, and compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing duct systems, performing necessary repairs and adjustments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding project progress and requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Duct Installer or in a similar HVAC installation role.
- Strong knowledge of ductwork installation techniques, materials, and building codes.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools required for duct installation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in various conditions, including confined spaces.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant certifications or trade qualifications are an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
