We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our team on a 12-month contract basis. This role will play a crucial part in supporting our HR functions and ensuring effective management of employee relations, recruitment, and HR processes.
Job Description:
As a Human Resources Generalist on a 12-month contract, you will be responsible for managing a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws. You will work closely with our HR team and management to support the overall HR strategy and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees
- Provide support and guidance to employees and management on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations issues
- Administer employee benefits programs and manage employee inquiries related to benefits
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, and maintain accurate employee records
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Conduct employee orientations and facilitate training programs as needed
- Handle employee performance management processes, including performance appraisals and disciplinary actions
- Support HR projects and initiatives to improve HR processes and employee engagement
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Previous experience in a human resources role is required, preferably in a generalist capacity
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time effectively
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of professionalism and discretion
