Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and artistic Cake Decorator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, preparing, and decorating cakes according to customer specifications. Your creativity, attention to detail, and passion for baking will play a key role in ensuring that every cake we produce is a masterpiece.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and decorate cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods according to customer orders and specifications
- Use various decorating techniques, including piping, fondant work, and airbrushing
- Ensure that all cakes meet our high standards for quality, appearance, and taste
- Collaborate with customers to create custom cake designs and provide suggestions based on their needs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist with baking and preparing cakes as needed
- Manage inventory of decorating supplies and restock as necessary
- Work efficiently to meet deadlines, especially during peak seasons and special events
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Cake Decorator or in a similar role is required
- Strong artistic skills and creativity in cake design and decoration
- Proficiency in using various cake decorating tools and techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes of supplies and ingredients
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
