Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Pastry Maker to join our bakery team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a variety of pastries, desserts, and other baked goods, ensuring that every product meets our high standards of quality and taste. Your creativity and attention to detail will play a key role in maintaining the reputation of Barent Sweet as a destination for top-quality pastries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, including croissants, tarts, cakes, and specialty desserts
- Follow established recipes and procedures to ensure consistency and quality
- Decorate and finish pastries with precision and creativity
- Monitor inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring timely replenishment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all health and safety regulations
- Assist in the development of new pastry items and seasonal offerings
- Collaborate with the bakery team to meet production schedules and customer demands
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients and responding to special orders
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Pastry Maker or in a similar role is required
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and pastry preparation
- Creativity and a keen eye for detail in decorating and presentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy bags of flour and other supplies
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
