Job Description:
We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Banquet Porter to support our events and catering services. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and breaking down banquet spaces, ensuring that our events run smoothly and our guests have an outstanding experience. Your role is crucial in delivering the exceptional service that DI Karam Sweets is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of banquet spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and other event equipment
- Ensure that banquet rooms and areas are clean, organized, and properly maintained
- Assist with the transportation of food, beverages, and equipment to and from event spaces
- Maintain inventory of banquet supplies and report any shortages or damages
- Provide support to the catering and service staff during events
- Follow all safety and hygiene guidelines, ensuring that all setups meet company standards
- Respond to guest requests and provide exceptional customer service during events
- Assist with other duties as needed to ensure the success of events
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role or in a hospitality environment is an asset but not required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and furniture
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- A team-oriented attitude with a commitment to providing excellent service
