Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Part-Time Customer Service Clerk to provide excellent service to our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers with their inquiries, processing transactions, and ensuring the store is organized and presentable. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a retail environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Handle customer inquiries, provide information on products and services, and resolve issues promptly.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the store’s point-of-sale system.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining a clean and orderly store environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the store.
- Support promotional activities and store events as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, policies, and procedures to provide accurate information to customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager to support daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail role is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Proficiency in both English and French is an asset.
