Role Overview:
As a Chiropractor, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders, with a focus on the spine and nervous system. You will work closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and promote overall health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough assessments of patients, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions, with a primary focus on spinal health and nervous system function.
- Develop and implement individualized chiropractic treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals.
- Utilize various chiropractic techniques and modalities, such as spinal adjustments, manual therapy, and rehabilitative exercises.
- Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, posture, ergonomics, and exercises to support their recovery and prevent future issues.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document all patient interactions and outcomes accurately.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and address any additional health concerns.
- Stay current with advancements in chiropractic practices and continue professional development through training and education.
- Participate in community outreach and health promotion activities to raise awareness about chiropractic care and wellness.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from an accredited chiropractic college.
- Valid chiropractic license and registration in Alberta.
- 2-4 years of experience in a chiropractic role or related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, chiropractic techniques, and patient care practices.
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and motivate patients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Experience with electronic health records and documentation is a plus.
