Role Overview:
As a Developer, Routing and Compression, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing advanced routing and compression algorithms and systems. You will work closely with our engineering teams to create efficient and scalable solutions that enhance data transmission and storage capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced routing and compression algorithms to optimize data transmission and storage in engineering systems.
- Implement and test routing protocols, data compression techniques, and related technologies to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, network engineers, and data scientists, to integrate routing and compression solutions into existing systems and applications.
- Analyze and evaluate system performance, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement in routing and compression processes.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including algorithm specifications, design documents, and performance metrics.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in routing and compression to ensure innovative and effective solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to routing and compression systems.
- Participate in project planning and management activities, ensuring timely and successful delivery of solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree or higher is an asset.
- 8+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on routing and compression technologies.
- Expertise in designing and implementing routing protocols, data compression algorithms, and related technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system architecture.
- Experience with network protocols, data transmission, and storage systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and optimize complex systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset.
