Role Overview:
As a Consulting Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering consulting services to our clients. You will leverage your expertise to provide strategic advice, develop innovative solutions, and oversee the execution of engineering projects. Your role will involve collaborating with clients, managing project teams, and ensuring that engineering solutions meet both technical and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert consulting services to clients, including strategic advice, technical assessments, and project recommendations.
- Lead and manage engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet client specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Develop and review engineering designs, plans, and specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses to support project planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to define project objectives, scope, and requirements.
- Oversee the implementation of engineering solutions, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare and present detailed reports, proposals, and technical documentation for clients and stakeholders.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to provide cutting-edge solutions and advice.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and project staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Manage client relationships, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field); Master’s degree is an asset.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or equivalent is required.
- 8+ years of experience in engineering consulting, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
- Strong expertise in engineering design, project management, and technical problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to your field of expertise.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is a plus.
