Role Overview:
As a Technologue en Architecture, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of architectural projects, ensuring they meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to deliver high-quality design solutions and support project execution from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications for a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to create integrated design solutions that address client needs and project requirements.
- Conduct site visits to gather data, assess conditions, and ensure design implementation aligns with project specifications.
- Utilize advanced design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or ArchiCAD, to produce accurate and detailed architectural documentation.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including design reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
- Assist in the coordination and management of project resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, including junior staff and external consultants.
- Stay current with industry trends, building codes, and best practices to incorporate the latest advancements into project designs.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, offering expertise and insights on architectural design and project progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certification or licensure as an Architectural Technologist is preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in architectural design and project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or ArchiCAD.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent design and technical skills, with the ability to create innovative and practical design solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
